Deep Democracy Advanced Facilitators Course (Level 3)

As the conflicts become more heated and intense, you will need different tools to facilitate the process. In the Advanced Deep Democracy Course for Facilitators, participants develop skills to support groups through more challenging conflicts and manage the process through to resolution.

Deeper conflict requires you to be more adept with metaskills, which requires more self-work. In this module, you gain deeper awareness about yourself and your metaskill of equanimity, gaining awareness of when you lose it and how to quickly return back to a constructive position.

You will gain new tools of reflective listening and amplification to deepen group conversations and awareness amidst conflicting perspectives, values, and goals.

You will refine your discernment skills, gaining the ability to perceive different levels of conflict from less tension and more rationality to deeply tense and irrational. You will learn how to support and guide the group to navigate to these deeper levels of conflict safely and productively.

During the 2.5 day workshop, you learn how to:

• Help groups navigate deeper levels of conflict safely and productively.
• Hear what has emotional weight and amplify it in order to help the group move deeper and address critical issues
• Use reflective listening to develop amplification skills and help support individuals working through internal conflicts
• Manage your own triggers and remain centered amidst group conflict

Course Length: Two and a half days.
